Indian Art and Artists.



Indian art can be categorized  into 3 main categories viz.
1. Painting
2. Sculptures
3.Architecture 

Indian paintings are categorised mainly in 4 categories viz.

1) Miniature paintings
There are many styles in Indian miniature paintings. These paintings are small in size and painted very delicately. Mostly subjected on Krishna and his leelas. Mughal miniatures are subjected on animals, birds etc. To find complete information click here.
2) Folk and tribal paintings
Folk and tribal art in India takes on different manifestations through varied medium such as pottery, painting, metalwork, paper-art, weaving and designing of objects such as jewelry and toys.

Fresco  is a manner of painting with wet colour done on plastered walls or ceilings.
