This blog is specially for my students who want to make career in the field of art, architecture or any of the designing fields.
Here you can develop your knowledge and understanding of essential basic concepts required for learning of art. It is essential for a student who wishes to step into the field of art to have minute sensation of various aspects of art. Therefore this blog will help you to widen your base of knowledge; and make you capable to understand basic language or terminology of art.
in addition to the practical work done in the classroom, you are required to know some theoretical part of the various fields of art. There are many books, magazines, web pages that give you a lot of study material for the above purpose; but this blog is an endeavor to provide you a proper base of knowledge, in view of the entrance tests conducted for various courses in the field of art, which you are going to undergo.
For our convenience of learning we have divided the content into historical and contemporary art and artists, also into Indian and the rest of the world.
You are expected to make a note book of hand written short notes on the topics mentioned here. You can illustrate the information collected in the note book with drawings, sketches, photographs etc.
For the purpose of entrance exams to the courses in art, design and architecture, you are not expected to have a deep knowledge of the aspects of art; but a wide knowledge with less depth is expected. The main intension of this as mentioned above is that you should be capable to understand the language or terminology of art.
